Making hackathons cool.

HackMTY is a brand new name for a series of student-organized hackathons by the ACM MTY student chapter at Tec de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey. It quickly became the largest free student hackathon in Latin America.

Backed by the MLH (Major League Hacking), this edition brought a brand-new name and identity, meant to be a departure from an older, aging event and aimed to clearly and proudly represent its home city of Monterrey, Mexico.

Tons of promotional materials were made to publicize the event to both students and sponsorship prospects.

In the end, HackMTY 2015 gathered more than 400 hackers from around the world, more than 15 corporate sponsors and ultimately earned the student council award for best student event of 2015.

Insanely better results than all of the former hackathons, combined.
